NAME 3D Printing Laboratory

DESCRIPTION

3D imaging technologies applied to health, with medical image segmentation tools, 3D printing and bioprinting, and 3D scanning techniques. It allows clinical research studies and validation of 3D products manufactured from medical images (custom products for each patient). It also allows the manufacture of multicolored / multi-material models to replicate clinical pathologies for device testing, as well as functional prototypes

MOST OUTSTANDING EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS

  • Bioprinting technologies

    For the mechanical printing of bioinks (Regemat and a prototype in co-development with Domotek),

  • FDM technology printers. Ultimaker2 + and Sigmax

    For low-cost polymer printing.

  • Formlabs2 SLA technology printer

    It allows mono-color printing with technical materials at low cost. Resolution up to 0.025mm.

  • Multicolor / Polyjet technology 3D printer. Stratasys Connex3

    It allows multi-color / multi-texture printing from the mixture of 3 different materials. With a resolution of up to 0.014mm

  • Photogrammetry scanner

    Prototype in co-development with the University of the Basque Country that allows 3D capture of facial structures with great detail.
