NAME Fronius-TPS500i TWIN welding cell with inspection system

DESCRIPTION

The welding cell consists mainly of two Fronius TPS 500i TWIN welding cells on Yaskawa robots with data acquisition capabilities, supported by a Smart Ray weld bead inspection system on two automated tables. Thanks to the connection between the different systems and the implementation of artificial intelligence, this asset acquires the capacity to collect and process data to ensure greater control over the process and the quality of the physical results.

Research, development and industrialisation of new welding manufacturing processes based on the benefits of servo technology and intelligence 4.0 capabilities integrated into the equipment. In addition, attention is paid to making the most of existing resources and updating them.

Training and updating of professional, scientific and academic skills.

Training courses for new professionals, researchers and academics to give them first-hand knowledge of the benefits of welding technologies and their interaction in the whole process of research, development and industrialisation of advanced components.

Welding seam and process quality analysis

Optimisation studies of joining processes for geometric and structural quality improvements. In addition, viability studies, tests and analysis of results for their application in production processes.
