El elemento principal del activo es una Prensa de vacío dotada con membrana elastomérica de silicona y mesa de trabajo para el conformado de piezas de composites termoplásticos y termoestables de hasta 310cm x 130 cm de superficie. El activo permite el desarrollar y evaluar la moldeabilidad de preformas de fibra refuerzo (vidrio, carbono, aramida, basalto, …), obtener piezas de composites monolíticas, estructuras sándwich y aplicar mediante sublimación acabados decorativos y funcionales sobre las superficies de las piezas moldeadas. El activo se compone de un sistema de vacío, un horno de sublimación, una unidad de calentamiento por convección y un sistema de monitorización de la presión temperatura y tiempo del proceso de moldeo.
