NAME Tecnalia Biomechanical Laboratory

DESCRIPTION

Biomechanical laboratory aimed at the development of medical tools for patients with motor impairments, neuromuscular dysfunctions, or prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. It enables the testing of products and prototypes for companies in this sector, customizing (clinical) rehabilitation treatments, and validating exoskeleton technologies. The installation is specially designed to simultaneously measure the position of different parts of the body, as well as external forces, muscle activations and even brain activity.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Orthopedic and rehabilitation Technology

MOST OUTSTANDING EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS

  • Biomechanical analysis platform.

Biomechanical analysis platform. Analysis and modelling software. Wireless sensor equipment for real-time measurement: accelerometry (inertial sensors), electromyography (Trigno Avanti Delsys), force measurement platforms (AMTI, BTS)

  • Codamotion platform.

Codamotion platform. Optical motion capture system with high precision infrared markers. Portable equipment for field studies.

  • RYSEN System (Motek).

RYSEN System (Motek). Platform to carry out studies and therapies in neurorehabilitation. This innovative equipment provides vertical and horizontal forces to patients in a safe environment with medical grade certification.
