NAME Validation of the biological functionality of medical devices

DESCRIPTION

Biological characterization of materials and devices in terms of biocompatibility, influence on strains of different microorganisms and cell lines. Design and application of strategies for the modification and specific functionalization of biodevice surfaces. Detection of molecular alterations. Detection of the presence and growth of microorganisms (bacteria, yeast) in medical devices. Studies of the effectiveness of different treatments on bacteria, yeast, cell lines and coronavirus surrogates (in feline model).
