NAME Vertical lathe-milling hydrostatic machine.

DESCRIPTION

This cell is formed by two machines. The first one is GMTK multitasking machine. Its design and configuration makes it the ideal bench test for new components, tools and accessories… This Basque country origin machine has the capacity of be implemented and also modify its components. This is a turning-milling machine with great potential in terms of integration of new systems and components. It has two lineal axes and also a rotary configurable one, which allows the capacity of milling. The machine is equipped with a robotic tool changer with up to 90 tools. The second machine is a cross slide vertical lathe. It has hydrostatic guide system in the lineal axes. Its own structure allows its use as integration platform of new concepts and processes with the possibility of modify both heads. This machine is also equipped with a monitoring system capable of extract data related to the process.

  • Cross slide vertical double turret lathe (DANOBAT TV-1500)

    Multi-process double turret vertical lathe with hydrostatic guidance on X and Z axes. 1500mm diameter bed. Double carousel type tool magazine with 24 positions, Capto C6. Siemens 840D 4.5sl numerical control.

  • Tool measuring and adjustment machine Zoller smarTcheck 600

    Tool measuring machine with adapters type HSK100, HSK63, HSK40, Capto C8, Capto C6. Automatic position control, Pilot 3.0 measuring software.

  • Turning - Milling vertical machine GMTK (GEMINIS VL 2.4)

    4-axis vertical milling lathe with 2000mm bed and maximum turning diameter of 2400mm. Maximum workpiece height 1500mm and maximum weight 15.000Kg. 90 position tool changer with Kuka Robot, HSK100 and C8 capto toolholder.

SERVICES OFFERED BY THE ASSET

Research in new processes and especial machining cycles

Test and design of new machining processes up to 2000mm of diameter for parts of high added value and complexity: under development components, new materials. Processes cut conditions optimisation, lubrication and cooling improvements. Especial and combined machining cycles tests.

Research on the behaviour of new advanced components: Tools, measuring and tooling systems.

Test, comparison and validation of new special components: New tool models, measurement systems, cooling elements and non-common fixtures.

Tests on special production conditions for particular parts, prototypes or demonstrators.

Productive processes evaluation in order to fabricate prototypes or demonstrators. Procedure is defined for its application in the system, decreasing implementation times which leads into a productive asset especially in high complexity components.
