HVO/AF stands for High Velocity Oxy- Air Fuel spraying. HVOAF torches are operated with natural gas and air-oxygen mixtures. These torches are able to operate within the supersonic regime using a broad range of fuel/oxidant ratios, thus allowing their operation with either extremely low or “conventional” flame temperatures. The gun configuration can be easily tailored for processing materials with very different physical natures with superior deposit qualities, including almost all industrially relevant metal base and cermet materials.
