NAME Usability, Inclusive Design and Accessibility Laboratory

DESCRIPTION

The ULAB is a laboratory divided into two spaces (testing room and observation room) and unidirectional visibility that allows tests to be carried out with users (individual or group). It is equipped with specific devices for physiological measurements, such as Electroencephalogram (EEG), Eyetracking or Galvanic Skin Response (GSR). In addition, it has specific tools for understanding diversity and patient experience, disability simulation tools and exclusion calculation tools.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Biomedical consumables

Digital health

Electromedical devices

Orthopedic and rehabilitation Technology

MOST OUTSTANDING EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS

  • Ageing simulators

    - Sarcopenia simulator suit (ReSanté-Vous).
    - Glasses simulating: total blindness, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts... (ReSanté-Vous)
    - Deafness and tinnitus simulator helmets (GERT)
    - COPD simulator corset (GERT)
    - Parkinson's simulator gloves (GERT)

  • EEG Diadem Bitbrain

Diadem is a dry-sensor electroencephalogram (EEG) designed for real-world applications with 12 dry sensors located in specific brain areas (pre-frontal, frontal, parietal and occipital) for the estimation of emotional and cognitive states.

  • Eyetracking Tobii Pro Glasses 2

Pro Glasses 2 is a portable eye tracker designed to capture natural visual behaviour in any real-life environment with wide-angle scene camera, gyroscope, accelerometer and microphone. The sampling rate of eye movement is sampling rate is 50-100 Hz.

  • Herramienta INKLUGI
  • Ring – Bitbrain

Ring is a mobile and robust biosignal measurement device for monitoring skin conductance (electrodermal sensor - EDA / galvanic skin response meter - GSR) and cardiovascular activity (BVP sensor). The device has an ultra-lightweight and comfortable design, and features two key biosensors (electrodermal activity GSR and cardiac activity BVP) for the estimation of emotional states, and a three-axis solid-state accelerometer (ACC), for an estimation of the noise that can be generated due to hand movement.
