In sheet metal forming facilities the key process is stamping, for which new European regulations have emerged to reduce CO2 emissions. New lightweighting strategies have also been promoted, which has had repercussions for the company in terms of new processes and materials. The company needed to improve the treatment of these materials as, being more resistant they become less flexible for handling in that deep drawing process.
