Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies

The Artificial Intelligence node of the BDIH is conceived to be a catalyst in the use of artificial intelligence by Basque companies, providing access to this technology in a collaborative, sovereign, and responsible way.

This node has been designed to promote the adoption and development of artificial intelligence technologies in sectors such as production, mobility, health, energy, commerce, services and public administration, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of Basque companies and bringing significant benefits to society through the use of AI.

To this end, agents of the Basque Science and Technology Network will make available assets that cover the entire AI value chain.

Developments

This is the creation, training and refinement of AI models that transform data into meaningful information and AI solutions. It involves the design and implementation of algorithms and techniques for machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI and other advanced data analysis methodologies. Also considered within this link are elements such as foundational models for multimodal data generation, algorithmic auditing methodologies for AI-based systems, and deployment platforms for AI models, among others.

Model Creation and Refinement: Design and implementation of algorithms and techniques for machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision and generative AI.
Foundational Models and Advanced Methodologies: Development of foundational models for multimodal data generation and algorithmic auditing methodologies to ensure transparency and fairness in AI-based systems.

Deployment & Application

This is the transfer and implementation of AI solutions. This translates into new AI-powered/enabled services, new AI-based products and the improvement of existing processes through the application of AI. It can be specific industries, sectors of activity, the public administration itself, and even society as a whole considering the transversality of AI in terms of its application areas.

New Services and Products: Development of new AI-powered services and products that improve business competitiveness.
Existing Process Improvement: Application of AI to optimize and improve existing business processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
Diverse Application Areas: Implementation of AI solutions in specific industries, specific sectors of activity, public administration and society in general, taking advantage of the transversality of AI to generate positive impacts in multiple areas.
