Ceit has a flexible cell where different technologies can be tested, all aimed at product inspection.
- Metrology and structural integrity (defectology) through 2D and 3D optical techniques
- Process monitoring at high temperatures
- Material classification
- Programming, incorporation, and adaptation of automation and robotics to the inspection and measurement process
This cell allows for the inspection of dimensional data and structural integrity of the parts produced under a given process using artificial vision techniques. It also allows for in-line inspection of parts, ensuring the zero-defect concept, reducing rejection, and increasing productivity. This cell is capable of testing and incorporating robots and industrial automation to provide the necessary flexibility for inspection.
To achieve high-precision 2D dimensional control (hundredth or thousandth of a mm), telecentric optics of different sizes and precision benches are available.
The laboratory has several laser profilometers (of different sizes and wavelengths) and area scanners that allow for acquiring a 3D reconstruction of the object's geometry. From the reconstruction, the facility has computational geometry algorithms to perform all types of dimensional controls on the geometry.
Luminaires and cameras operating in the visible spectrum, as well as a variety of optics to cover different object sizes, working distances, etc. Once the images of the product are obtained, artificial intelligence algorithms are applied for classification and defect detection.
Hyperspectral camera that operates in the visible and infrared spectrum, allowing for the classification of materials based on their spectral signature (material response to these wavelengths).
High-level thermographic camera that allows monitoring of temperatures up to 2,000 °C.
3D inspection of parts (including transparent or translucent) for precision metrology.
