The CHARLIE robot is an integration of an AMR (autonomous mobile robot) and an industrial manipulator robot. Thus, it is able to move through the work area in a collaborative way without renouncing the high productive capacity in the handling tasks. It is controlled via a high-level OPC-UA gateway. CHARLIE is a step forward in unattended manufacturing through the loading and unloading of parts.
