Data Space Interoperability and Security Laboratory
DESCRIPTION
The European data strategy aims to create a single market for data to ensure Europe's global competitiveness and data sovereignty. Common European data spaces will ensure that more data is available for use in the economy and society, while maintaining control over the companies and individuals that generate the data.The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) is an international initiative that aims to develop and promote the use of a Reference Architecture and standards to support data spaces, describing a set of technical components necessary for the establishment of trust and confidence that is essential for these data spaces to function effectively, and to be fully interoperable, which is one of the basic characteristics of these data spaces.The Data Space Interoperability and Security Laboratory consists of the infrastructure necessary to address interoperability and security testing of IDS components.
MOST OUTSTANDING EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS
Complete IDS infrastructureThe laboratory has all the components specified in the IDS Reference Architecture Model (IDS-RAM), which are:
- Certification Authority (CA): provides digital identities to the participants in the data space.
- IDS Connectors: is the core component of the IDS-RAM, which gives users access to the data space.
- Dynamic Attribute Provisioning Server (DAPS): provides the authentication tokens to enable data usage control.
- Metadata Broker: directory of connectors available in a particular data space.
- Application Store: provides a set of applications that can be installed and executed in the connector environment, in accordance with the IDS-RAM.
- Clearing House: consists of a centralised record of data transactions performed in a data space.
HW infrastructure that allows the automatic deployment of environments tailored to the needs of customers, accessible remotely. It is made up of:
o Router: Cisco 4431 Integrated Services Router
o Switch: Cisco Catalyst C1000-48P-4X-L
o Virtualisation: SuperServer 6019U-TR4
o QNAP: TS-983XU-RP
Laboratory management platform, based on Mango Apps. This platform allows: reception of service requests and management of requests from receipt to delivery of results.
This platform provides the entire qualified team with the tools, procedures and templates necessary to provide a service.
Automated and updated repository of interoperability and security test cases that are continuously updated. Automation components: Postman and SQS-TWF
